Aaron Ball LLB(Hons) GDLP MQLS

Principal Solicitor

Aaron is the Principal and co-founder of Shorestone Legal. Aaron is a unique lawyer with many years of experience working in a number of non-legal industries including transport and manufacturing. Aaron then worked for both Commonwealth and State governments in various compliance, investigation, and criminal prosecution roles, before entering private practice focussing on the areas of family law, criminal law, and estates and administration.

With 20+ public sector experience, Aaron has worked in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, the Queensland District and Supreme Court, the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, Australia's Commonwealth Immigration agency, Building Codes Queensland, and the Residential Tenancies Authority.

During his long and varied career, Aaron has worked closely with victims of crime, victims’ advocacy services, real estate agents, tenants and tenancy advocates, the plumbing and building trade, small business operators, and both State and Commonwealth police forces.

Aaron continues to provide volunteer legal services through Northside Connect, a not-for-profit organisation based in Nundah offering legal advice, domestic violence support and family/community services to those living on the north side of Brisbane.

Now in private practice, Aaron practices predominately in the areas of family law, civil disputes, traffic matters, wills and deceased estates matters.

Aaron and his wife have two children who, despite their charm, have aged him considerably.
